Teaching and Research Advising

Mentor for Postgraduate and Undergraduate Projects

I am actively involved in guidance and mentoring interdiciplinary masters and undergraduate research. Provide guidance in developing Ideas, designing experiments, developing theoretical models based on experimental observations. I like to encourage independent thinking and support my students to take leading role in their projects.

a. Felicity Lee - Bachelors of Philosophy thesis - Topological quantication of thin sheets.

(February 2016 - May 2016) Department of Quantum Science, Australian National University.

John close's lab.

b. Kangle Chang - Masters thesis work in applied photonics - Optical visualisation and spatial structure

of evaporation through porous material. (January 2016 - December 2016) Department of Quantum

Science, Australian National University. Jong Chow's lab

c. Keshu Huang - Masters thesis work in applied photonics - 4 dimensional visualisation and

quantication of tissue growth. (January 2016 - December 2016) Department of Quantum

Science, Australian National University. Jong Chow's lab

b. Laura Schat - Masters thesis work in biophysics - Experimental investigation of coupled heat and

mass transfer between leaves and the environment. (February 2016 - July 2016) Research School

of Biology, Australian National University. Adrienne Nicotra's lab

e. Partha Sanker - B.S Life-science (research) - Quantification of 3 dimensional wing kinematics in

tethered flight. (April 2013 - August 2013) National Centre for Biological Sciences (Sanjay Sane's lab)

Advanced course in Functional Ecology - I am an Instructor for "Field studies in functional ecology" course. Students learn and explore ecophysiological aspect of animal and plant function and physiology.
